Dutchware Gear, a Lancaster-based company specializing in camping equipment, has acquired Loco Libre Gear, a New Jersey firm known for its backpacking quilts, tarps, and other outdoor gear. The acquisition, finalized on August 18, marks Dutchware Gear’s third purchase, following the acquisitions of Clark Outdoor Products in 2019 and 2QZQ in 2021.
Phi V. Le, managing partner at Dutchware Gear, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. “We are excited to continue adding value to the community we hold dear,” Le said in a news release. “This deal highlights the capabilities and expertise of our Lancaster cut-and-sew operations. We are eager to pursue further impactful acquisitions and expand our department’s cut-and-sew contracts, contributing to the revival of the sewing trade in the USA.”
Loco Libre Gear has relocated its operations to Lancaster. The financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Founded in 2003, Dutchware Gear is known for its high-quality backpacking and camping gear.
