IDAHO – The Idaho State Parks (ISP) have announced a temporary suspension of camping and cabin reservations as they transition to a new reservation system. This blackout period will begin on August 1, 2024, and continue until January 6, 2025.
During this blackout, existing reservations for 2024 and early 2025 will remain unaffected. Additionally, new reservations for 2024 can still be made throughout the blackout period. However, new reservations for 2025 will only be available starting at 8 a.m. on January 6, 2025.
“The blackout is necessary to migrate from the current reservation system to the new one, which requires the transfer of park facility and customer information from one network to another,” explained Seth Hobbs, Reservation & Registration program manager for ISP.
While acknowledging the inconvenience this may cause, Hobbs assured the public that the new system will be significantly more user-friendly, enhancing the overall reservation experience for visitors.
