BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — As July begins, Mt. Bachelor welcomes back summer activities for families eager to enjoy the outdoors. While ski season has concluded, the resort remains bustling with a diverse array of warm-weather pursuits.

Local resident Larry Waters expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I’m glad they’re finally open. The trails are in great shape, and biking among the snow is a unique experience.”

For those seeking thrills on the zipline, advance tickets are priced at $89, increasing to $99 for same-day purchases. Meanwhile, the downhill mountain bike park offers single-day all-mountain and Little Pine Bike Park passes. Adult all-mountain bike park day tickets are available for $69 at the window, with a chairlift ride for same-day booking priced at $28 for adults.

Burke emphasized, “You don’t have to be a hardcore mountain biker. You can simply enjoy a scenic chairlift ride, indulge in food and drinks mid-mountain, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings.”

Currently, Mt. Bachelor’s bike park features two lifts and eight open trails.

Robert Fredricks, visiting from San Diego, shared his excitement, “I’m really looking forward to riding up the chairlift to the top of the mountain and taking in the breathtaking view of the Three Sisters and the entire Cascade range.”

Winter remains the busier season for Mt. Bachelor, operating from November (weather permitting) until the end of May. General parking in the West Village, Sunrise, and Skyliner lots is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Burke noted, “While summer offers more activities, it’s generally less bustling day-to-day compared to ski season, when we see visitors from across the country.”

Before planning a visit, visitors are advised to check the daily mountain report on MtBachelor.com for updates on open trails and expanding bike park availability.
