Haining, a city in Zhejiang province, launched the third Yangtze River Delta Camping Lifestyle and Outdoor Equipment Import and Export Expo on June 14. This event aims to enhance the local outdoor and camping sector while establishing Haining as a key cultural and tourism hub.
The five-day expo attracted over 600 participants, including industry leaders, domestic and international outdoor equipment companies, and camping enthusiasts. The event featured a variety of activities such as an RV lifestyle party, captivating magic shows, themed musicals, and over 50 interactive co-creation experiences, all designed to showcase the appeal of modern summer camping.
Xu Honglian, Haining’s deputy Party secretary, emphasized the rising popularity of camping as a lifestyle trend, noting its alignment with changing societal preferences. Liu Haifeng, president of the camping branch of the China Tourist Attractions Association, praised the expo as a valuable model for cities seeking to develop their outdoor industries. He highlighted its importance in shaping the future of recreational tourism.
