A brush fire escalated to engulf a camping trailer in Havre de Grace on Saturday evening, as detailed in a news release issued by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
Responding promptly to a call at 5:36 p.m. on Saturday, the Susquehanna Hose Company rushed to the 200 block of Lapidum Road where the fire had extended to a camping trailer.
According to the authorities cited in the news release, the owner first noticed the fire. It took approximately 20 firefighters around 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities reported as a result of the fire.
Following investigations, it was determined that the fire was accidental in nature. It originated from an unattended brush fire that subsequently spread to the nearby camping trailer, as disclosed in the release.
