During routine patrols on Saturday, officers from the Local Police stumbled upon a group of tourists camping inside the protected confines of the Anaga Rural Park in Tenerife. This discovery led to their immediate eviction from the premises.
The Anaga Rural Park, renowned for its environmental significance and laurel forests, holds a distinct status necessitating stringent protection measures, including a prohibition on camping.
The communication department of the Local Police disclosed that the individuals involved were identified for the purpose of issuing sanctions. Additionally, the police reported the violation to the environmental service of the Tenerife Cabildo. Subsequently, the campers were directed to gather their belongings and escorted out of the Reserve by law enforcement.
This incident underscores a recurring trend of disregard for regulatory signs and disrespect towards the natural habitat. It highlights a broader issue of visitors engaging in unauthorized activities while vacationing on the islands.
