The Mike’s Bikes Cat’s Hill Bicycle Race is set to return to Los Gatos for its 49th year, promising an exciting event regardless of the weather. The race, which attracts around 1,000 cyclists and spectators, will take place on a one-mile loop. The course begins at Tait and Nicholson avenues and features one steep climb, five right turns, and one left turn. Race winners will be rewarded with cash prizes and various merchandise.
To ensure the safety and smooth running of the event, the Town of Los Gatos and the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department have announced road closures for Saturday. These closures, which will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., include:
-
Tait Avenue between Bean Avenue and Highway 9
-

In addition to the road closures, race organizers have made a special request to residents with sump pumps. They are asking these residents to turn off their pumps on the evening of March 21, as leaving them on last year resulted in slippery roads during the race.
The event continues to be a highlight for both amateur cyclists and the local community, with its challenging course and enthusiastic turnout.
