San Diego’s Fit Athletic Club, in collaboration with Belmont Park and Pacifica Enterprises, is set to launch Fit Social, a groundbreaking social wellness day club, in Summer 2025. The new space will combine wellness, work, and social interaction with an oceanfront backdrop, redefining beachside living and wellness.
Located at the former Beach House on Belmont Park’s iconic beachfront, Fit Social promises an all-day experience tailored for modern lifestyles. It will offer a combination of recovery-focused amenities, coworking spaces with ocean views, and a vibrant social atmosphere for sunset relaxation.
“Wellness should feel natural, effortless, and a part of daily life,” said Scott Lutwak, Founder & CEO of Fit Athletic Club. “People are moving away from isolation—we crave connection, balance, and spaces that support both. Society is shifting toward a more holistic approach to wellness, but places that support this shift don’t exist—until now. Fit Social is that space, designed for the way we live today and where we’re headed next.”
Steve Thomas, General Manager of Belmont Park, echoed this vision, stating, “Belmont Park has always been about creating unforgettable experiences, and Fit Social is the next evolution of that vision. It’s not just a new brand—it’s a completely new way to think about wellness and community.”
The collaboration with Fit Athletic Club marks the next chapter for Belmont Park, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2025 and continues to attract millions of visitors annually. Fit Social will introduce a destination dedicated to balanced living in the heart of one of San Diego’s most beloved landmarks.
Wellness-Focused Amenities
The core of Fit Social is its immersive recovery experience. Guests will enjoy access to a variety of wellness amenities, including cold plunges, saunas, oceanfront hot tubs, and expert-led recovery programs such as guided breathwork and contrast therapy. These offerings will blend movement and recovery, providing an integrated wellness experience.
Work in Wellness
For those looking for a productive environment, Fit Social will feature coworking spaces equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, private meeting rooms, and shaded outdoor workspaces. This wellness-centered alternative to traditional workspaces will also offer opportunities to reset with low-impact classes and restorative sessions throughout the day.
Dining Inspired by California’s Coastal Flavors
The club’s dining program, developed in partnership with Draft, will highlight cold-pressed juices, smoothies, protein-packed bowls, chef-curated share plates, and craft cocktails, all inspired by California’s coastal flavors. Led by Executive Chef Luis Romero and Corporate Executive Chef Jarrod Moiles, the menu will emphasize locally sourced, high-quality ingredients, enhancing the wellness experience. From a matcha latte post-recovery to a sunset cocktail, every dish is designed to fuel the body and mind.
Entertainment and Events
Music and events will be integral to the Fit Social experience. The space will host live music, sunset DJ sets, and immersive wellness activations, transitioning seamlessly from day to night. Guests can also look forward to various festivals under the Fit Social brand, enhancing the club’s dynamic social atmosphere.
A Tulum-Inspired Aesthetic
Designed by Acacia + Spruce, Fit Social will feature a Tulum-inspired aesthetic with natural textures, soft coastal tones, and open-air spaces that create a laid-back yet elevated atmosphere.
Membership and Day Pass Options
Fit Social will be available to both day pass guests and members, with exclusive perks and incentives for those who choose to join. Further details on membership options, pricing, and the grand opening announcement will be shared closer to launch.
With its combination of wellness, work, and community in a stunning beachfront location, Fit Social is poised to become a leading destination for balanced living in San Diego.
