Authorities have launched a search for a family of five, including a husband, wife, and their three children, who were reported missing on January 18.
Sepang District Police Chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman confirmed that the family’s disappearance was reported by the younger sister of the 37-year-old woman, who went missing alongside her husband and their three children—two boys and a girl.
The family, residing in Persiaran Rimba Permai, Sepang, left their home on the night of January 17 in a grey Perodua Alza (registration number WWT 8248) around 11:30 p.m.
On January 19, the woman’s sister received a video from her sibling, in which she stated that the family was safe at an unspecified campsite. Despite this, police are continuing their efforts to locate the family and ensure their well-being.
Norhizam called on anyone with information regarding the family’s whereabouts to come forward, directing tips to Investigating Officer Sergeant Kamaruzaman Shamsuddin at 03-8318 2222 or the Sepang Police Headquarters at 03-8777 4222.
The news of the family’s disappearance has quickly spread across social media, with updates shared by Instagram user @hudaamirhamzah, the missing woman’s younger sister.
