Merrell® and Jeep® Brand Launch Second Footwear Collaboration

by Alice

Outdoor footwear leader Merrell® and off-road automotive brand Jeep® have announced their second collaboration, showcasing a collection inspired by Merrell’s latest hiking technology and the electrified Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Building on the success of their initial partnership, which introduced the popular Moab 3 hiking boot in 2023, the 2024 collection emphasizes advanced technologies that cater to outdoor enthusiasts and adventurous spirits.

The new collection features the Merrell x Jeep Moab Speed 2 unisex shoes, set to be released on Tuesday, November 12, in four distinct colorways. Retail prices are US $180 and CA $190. The footwear incorporates vibrant hues reflective of Jeep’s iconic paint colors, including High Velocity, Tuscadero Pink, Bright White, and Black.

The Moab Speed 2 represents Merrell’s latest innovation in hiking footwear, blending insights from their best-selling Moab boot with modern enhancements. The shoes promise superior comfort, traction, and breathability, thanks to features like the FloatPro™ Foam midsole, Vibram lugs for enhanced grip, and eco-friendly materials, including recyclable mesh lining, laces, and webbing.

Kim Adams House, Director of Licensing and Merchandise for Stellantis, noted, “Following a successful launch of our first boot, we understand our consumers’ eagerness for this second collaboration with Merrell. We take pride in seeing Jeep’s bold colors and 4xe technology embodied in this innovative footwear.”

To test the performance of the Jeep 4xe and Moab Speed 2, the teams will embark on a road trip from Marquette, Michigan, to Las Vegas, Nevada. Content creators Colleen Logan (@theworldiscolleen) and Matthew Chung (@chunger_shoots) will join the journey in Rapid City, South Dakota. Fans can track the adventure on Merrell’s Instagram, where they will also have opportunities for giveaways.

The Merrell x Jeep collection will be available at select retailers, including Zappos in the U.S. and Sports Experts in Canada, facilitated by FCA’s global licensing agency, IMG.
