Spanish company buys Camping Albufeira

by Alice

HolaCamp, a prominent Catalan camping company, has selected Portugal as the starting point for its international growth, committing over €4 million in investments over the next three years to enhance the Camping Albufeira site in the Algarve.

“We chose to acquire Camping Albufeira because of its prime location in a natural setting, its status as a leading international tourist destination, and its large scale, which will allow us to cater to various customer profiles in our portfolio,” said Alfonso Leprevost, CEO of HolaCamp, in a statement to Publituris.

With this acquisition, HolaCamp now manages eight campsites and is in the midst of both national and international expansion. Leprevost revealed plans to add at least five new campsites annually, focusing on upgrading facilities and enhancing customer experiences.

Following months of work at Camping Albufeira, where HolaCamp had already established accommodations, the company reports positive results. The glamping tents achieved over 90% occupancy this summer, a figure the CEO described as “very encouraging.”

“We are extremely satisfied,” Leprevost stated. “Customer feedback has been excellent, and the reception has been overwhelming. We’re excited to introduce new accommodations, including our tiny houses this autumn, which will expand the options available to our guests,” he added.

This strategic expansion marks a significant milestone in HolaCamp’s growth, as the company continues to focus on improving services and providing unique camping experiences across Europe.
