Auburn Glamping offers a distinctive escape with its luxurious 36-foot geodesic dome, set among the trees on over 22 acres of serene landscape. Owners Andrew and Laura Riley have designed a one-of-a-kind glamping experience tailored for families, couples, and friends seeking to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying modern comforts.
The dome, one of the largest residential structures of its kind in North America, features an impressive 22-foot window that showcases stunning seasonal views. Inside, guests will find a full kitchen equipped with an island that seats six, perfect for preparing meals together. The private master bedroom boasts a king-size bed adorned with organic bedding, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. A sleek spiral staircase leads to an open loft, complete with two queen beds, a Pac-Man arcade, and a captivating view of the living area below. The spacious sectional sofa invites relaxation beside a cozy fire, providing an ambiance that feels as though guests are suspended among the trees.
The dome is also equipped with a full bathroom, offering options for indoor showers with a rain head and wall jets, as well as an outdoor shower for those who wish to connect more intimately with nature. Outside, a well-appointed patio enhances the glamping experience, complete with a grill and outdoor TV, making it ideal for tailgating or enjoying a meal while watching your favorite football team. As evening falls, guests can roast marshmallows around the fire pit or unwind in the hot tub.
“Our dream was to create a beautiful and relaxing retreat for our own family to connect with nature and each other,” said Laura Riley, co-owner of Auburn Glamping. “When we saw how amazing this place was becoming, we decided we wanted to share it with other families as well.”
Situated close to Lake Martin and a short drive from Auburn, the couple chose this location to create cherished family memories. Both Auburn University graduates, Andrew and Laura are excited to share these beloved areas with their children.
With aspirations to expand the glamping offerings, the couple envisions adding more unique structures to their 22-acre property in the future, enhancing the experience for their guests.
