Roseburg Police cited a 55-year-old man on Monday night for drinking and camping in an unauthorized area.
According to a report from the Roseburg Police Department, an officer approached the man at 11:45 p.m. while he was camping in the 700 block of Southeast Jackson Street. The man had previously been warned and cited for illegal camping at this location.
During the encounter, the officer discovered an open can of beer with the man, who subsequently poured out the remaining beer.
The man received citations for drinking in public and prohibited camping. He was also given a third warning for city expulsion violations before being released.
