Chasewater Country Park is playing host to an action-packed fun day that promises activities and entertainment for all ages.
The ‘Be Proud of Your Community’ event, organised by Staffordshire County Council and partners, is taking place at Chasewater Country Park in Burntwood on Friday 30 August from 10am to 3pm
Visitors can enjoy the onsite funfair along with water rescue demonstrations from the Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and water sports with Pier 52 including paddle boarding, pedalo hire and kayaking.
There will be an array of stalls providing information, games, freebies and refreshments.
Victoria Wilson, Staffordshire County Council’s cabinet member for communities and culture, said:
“We are very proud to be involved with this event, where people can enjoy themselves whilst learning about the good work we do with our partners to care for Chasewater and ensure that everyone enjoys it safely.
“This community day has a fantastic programme of events lined up, it’s a fun way to round off the summer holidays and there are some great learning opportunities for children.”
Stallholders include Friends of Chasewater, The Woodland Trust, Staffordshire Police and SCC Chasewater Country Park.
Every Health will also be on hand to carry out health checks and provide information about free stop smoking and adult weight management services.
The event itself is free to attend and paid parking is available.
Everyone is welcome to bring a picnic, but barbecues are not permitted due to wildfire risks.
