The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Department is thrilled to announce the upcoming “Take-A-Hike” event, scheduled for Saturday, July 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This engaging event will take place at the historic Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site, situated at 181 Redcliffe Road, Beech Island, SC 29842.
Participants are invited to join a guided group hike along a picturesque trail spanning approximately 1.7 miles across 369 acres rich in historical significance. Discover the scenic beauty of Aiken’s natural surroundings, while also gaining valuable hiking insights and learning essential first-aid techniques.
Open to individuals of all ages, this free event requires adult supervision for children aged 13 and under. Light refreshments will be provided to participants. To secure a spot, registration is mandatory and closes on July 24, 2024. Registration can be completed online at coa.page/pfaa or in person at either the Lessie B. Price Aiken Senior & Youth Center or Odell Weeks Activities Center.
