Escalade, Inc. (NASDAQ: ESCA) has announced the appointment of Armin Boehm as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President, effective April 1, 2025. Boehm’s appointment follows an extensive search and is part of the company’s planned succession. He will succeed Walter P. Glazer, Jr., who announced his retirement as CEO and President in August 2024.
In a statement regarding Boehm’s appointment, Glazer praised him as a “visionary leader” with a deep understanding of the sporting goods industry. “Armin’s global experience and collaborative approach make him the perfect fit to lead Escalade into its next phase of growth,” said Glazer. “His strategic mindset, respect for our company’s heritage, and commitment to delivering exceptional consumer experiences will ensure continued success for Escalade. I look forward to supporting him in this new leadership role as I transition to Chairman of the Board of Directors.”
Boehm expressed enthusiasm about his new role at Escalade, emphasizing the company’s rich history and commitment to innovation. “Escalade has a century-long legacy, and I’m excited to lead the company forward,” said Boehm. “We will build on our strong foundation, embrace innovation, and enhance our consumer-centric approach to create products that bring people together. Boehm brings over 30 years of leadership experience across global brands in multiple industries. He most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Gibson Inc., where he helped drive growth for the company’s well-known brands, including Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer. Prior to his time at Gibson, Boehm held significant roles in the sporting goods sector, including at Amer Sports, where he managed commercial and marketing operations for brands like Salomon, Arc’teryx, Atomic, and Wilson. He also led sales, merchandising, and product creation at Puma in Asia, helping to establish Puma China. Earlier in his career, Boehm worked at Levi Strauss and Adidas, leading innovation and product management efforts.
Boehm holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from FH Ludwigshafen, Germany, and a Diploma in Engineering from FH Coburg, Germany. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, music, and spending time outdoors with his wife and two children.
