A motorcycle accident in Simi Valley on Thursday afternoon left the rider with serious injuries and prompted the closure of a portion of Mount Sinai Drive.
The incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. in the city’s northeast region, according to reports from the Ventura County Fire Department. In response to the accident, the Simi Valley Police Department announced the closure of Mount Sinai Drive between Cochran Street and Kuehner Drive shortly before 3 p.m., advising motorists to avoid the area.
Preliminary information suggests that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The injured rider was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As of 7:30 p.m., there has been no update regarding the rider’s condition.
